+ BEFORE BOOKING.


THE LARGE PRINT

  • You must be 18 and over to schedule an appointment. ID will be required on the day of your appointment. (Parental consent cannot be accepted for those under 18.) We unfortunately cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you have any medical conditions such as a blood borne virus, etc. please let us know during your consultation or prior to your booking.
  • No swimming or heavy sun exposure (including sun beds) is recommended for the first few weeks of your healing.
  • The areas of the body which we do not tattoo are the sides of the fingers/palms, the inner lip and the soles of the feet. These areas tend to be very difficult to heal and are prone to drop-outs and blow outs. We do not tattoo in white ink as this tends to turn an off-white yellowy color over time. I can tattoo tops of hands, necks and the face, however these would require a consultation.
  • Please be aware that we will not directly copy another artist’s design, however we are willing to take inspiration from certain pieces and create your own original version for you.

+ RATES & CONSULTATION.


ARTIST RATES

  • Christopher | $200/hr (For longer sessions 4+ hours I usually do a discounted rate at $150-170 depending on the difficulty of the tattoo and placement.)


CONDITIONS

  • $80 minimum.
  • Estimates may be given for larger works, but we will generally need to have an in-person consultation before giving a quote. There are many factors to consider for all estimates: size, placement, difficulty, detail, and final design.
  • A deposit is required to hold all appointments and this is either $50 or $100 depending on your quote. The remainder of your payment is due the day of your appointment. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable.
  • CASH IS PREFERRED. Debit / Credit card accepted but will have a %5 fee.
  • Consultations are free and generally take about 15 minutes. During consultations we will discuss placement, style, ideas, subject matter, and we will also secure your appointment. A deposit will be made at this time to secure your date.

+ BOOKING & APPOINTMENTS.


NOT SO SMALL PRINT

  • All tattoos are by appointment only. No walk-ins.
  • Appointments are made by e-mail at **info@lostcausetattoo.com** or by our contact form.
  • If your tattoo is fairly small and simple, we can most likely book the tattoo date without an in-person consultation. To lock in the tattoo date and time, please e-mail us and we will set something up. However, larger or detailed pieces will require an in-person consultation.

+ DAY OF APPOINTMENT.


PREPARATION

  • Eating a good meal beforehand is highly recommended. Being well rested the night before is also a good idea for longer sessions.
  • We politely ask that guests are limited to one or two during your session.

+ AFTERCARE.


FIRST 2 HOURS

  • Remove bandage within 2 hours. Wash hands thoroughly. Using mild soap (hand soap) and water, gently wash your tattoo with hands or fingertips only. Do not scrub. Ensure soap is dye and fragrance free.
  • Gently pat dry with CLEAN towel. Do not rebandage.
  • After washing, apply a THIN film of A&D ointment, Aquaphor, or Bacitracin. Continue routine 2x daily for the next 3 days.


FIRST 2 WEEKS

  • Apply a small amount of aftercare lotion (or any fragrance/dye free lotion) when dry or flaky.
  • Do not pick, scratch, or submerge your tattoo during the healing process. Flaking and itching is a normal occurrence.
  • Avoid swimming or sun exposure until your tattoo has completely healed (4-6 weeks).
  • Your tattoo will scab whilst it is healing, do not pick at the flakes as this can cause the colour to be pulled out.
  • Apply a high SPF sunblock for the life of your tattoo to prevent fading.

+ INKS & MATERIALS.


QUALITY PRODUCTS

  • We use Solid Inks, Waverly Color Inks, Fusion Inks, and Eternal inks. These brands are all "vegan friendly".
  • All needles and tubes are disposable and one-time use only.
